I just sold this painting to my friend. I loved the reference photo which was of her and her daughter 25 years ago. I am glad she liked it. This is my second attempt at this painting. I used cold pressed watercolor paper this time and made it smaller - so 11x14 with a white mat.

I did a series of paintings of grey horses as a structure to remind me of being powerful. Here are a few. They are all on cold pressed watercolor paper. The bottom one is a 3x5" sketch. The other 2 are 16x20. This year I played with wreaths for my holiday cards. I did a bunch of versions. Here are 2 of the best ones.
A friend kindly let me take photos of her, wearing a scarf my friend made, that we used on my friend's facebook page. She looked so beautiful and sweet in this pose, that I had to capture it in a painting.. 16x20 painting on cold pressed watercolor paper.
I had a stint where Jules was meeting young children and it made for a fun subject for a painting. One little girl actually opened her mouth for Jules to lick inside if it....weird things kids do. These are all on cold pressed watercolor paper and range in size.
This the second painting of this reference photo. I just loved her shirt and the sweet look on her face. 16x20 hot pressed watercolor paper with white mat.
This painting was inspired by a 25-year old photograph of my friend and her daughter that was used for a Mother's Day fb post. I loved the energy between them and the curls in their hair. The painting is 16x20" with the mat and was done on 140 lb, Fabriano hot pressed watercolor paper.
Here is one of my favorite paintings that resulted from spending a week painting with Bev Jozwiak. It was great to get back into painting. It's been a while since I've painted much.
This painting was inspired by a photograph of my cousin's daughter after we crafted a crown of beautiful fall leaves. She's holding a mud pie - another fall delicacy. The painting is 16x20" with the mat and was done on 140 lb, Fabriano hot pressed watercolor paper.
