This painting was from a photo I took from July of 2014. This woman always looks great in photos. I think she was made for the camera:0) I just had to paint her. I will say that I had trouble getting the colors right in this photo, but it's pretty close to the painting.
16x20 matted and ready for a standard size frame. On a recent trip to Belize, we stayed at the Sundiver Resort which had this long dock that friends and family often sat on to ponder life and look at the ocean. I loved this shot of 2 sisters enjoying the view.
16x20" original watercolor with a white mat. This is another painting inspired by my recent trip to Belize. I often woke up early in the morning when the sun was rising. One day, I saw this lone fisherman working the seas.
11x14" original watercolor painting with a beige colored mat. While in Belize, we took a snorkeling trip that made a stop at a nearby island. It seems we all took this same photo of this couple enjoying the view while waiting for the cruise to resume.
16x20" original watercolor fitted with a white mat. A Portland classic street scene - the Go By Train can be seen from many vantage points around the city.
This original, 16x20" painting comes fitted with a beige mat and ready for a standard frame. Calvin loves to sneak up onto your lap (invited or not) and if his brother is already there, he will slowly shift around until he's the center of attention - which often results in pushing his brother (Pumba) off your lap! Never-the-less, he's really quite cute and lovable. I loved the expression on Rob's face when Calvin hoped up on Barbara's face.
This is one of my largest paintings to date measuring at 17x22" before the mat. While walking back from 23rd street in Portland one evening, I saw this beautiful sky as the sun was setting. I loved its reflection in the windows of the building and how it accentuated the color of the streetcar and the building's façade.
Streetcar at Sunset - 16x20" original watercolor painting with white mat. On display at the Oregon Society of Artists until Jan 8, 2016 Ahhhh.....sibling rivalry at it's best. This painting was inspired by watching two brothers scramble to the top of a rock in a local park.
